Compatibility & scope
The My Apps branch is based on the 2021 Hisense-hosted manual whose PDF metadata identifies VIDAA U4.2. The hosted file is named for 40A4GV; the cover does not list every supported model. The Home screen branch is based on Hisense's English e-manual whose PDF metadata title is E-Manual MT9603 VIDAA U9 NA/SA (the manual prints no date or version; the PDF was created in 2025), downloaded from Hisense Chile (hisense.cl), where it is hosted for the models 58Q6QV, 40Q4SV and 50A4NV; that manual documents moving apps with left and right only. Use these instructions only where the named controls match your TV. Features and services vary by model and region. Documentation reviewed; no TV hardware tested.

Two VIDAA layouts, two ways to move an app
How you move an app depends on which VIDAA layout your TV has:
- Older My Apps screen (Hisense’s 2021 manual): highlight the app in My Apps, press the remote’s menu/options button, choose Sort, move it with the arrow buttons and press OK to save.
- Newer Home screen (Hisense’s 2025 VIDAA U9 e-manual): highlight the app on the Home screen, press and hold OK, move it left or right and press OK to save.
You don’t need to reinstall anything. If you’re not sure which layout you have, press Home: the older layout has a My Apps entry, while in the U9 manual you select apps directly on the Home screen.
Move an app in My Apps (older layout)
The TV must be connected to the internet for this layout.
- Press Home and open My Apps.
- Highlight the app you want to move.
- Press the menu/options button. Hisense’s manual shows it as a rectangle with horizontal lines.
- Select Sort.
- Press up, down, left or right to choose the new position.
- Press OK to save it.
Check where the app landed before you move the next one.
Move an app on the Home screen (2025 U9 layout)
- Press Home.
- Highlight the app you want to move.
- Press and hold OK to manage the app.
- Press left or right to move it.
- Press OK to save the position.
The U9 manual only mentions the left and right buttons for this step.
Don’t choose Remove by mistake
In the older My Apps screen, the same options menu also has Remove, which deletes the app. Pick Sort to change the order. The default apps in My Apps can’t be removed.
On the newer Home screen, holding OK and then pressing down shows Remove. That only takes the app off the Home screen: it stays installed and you can find it in the app store again. To delete the app from the TV, open it in the app store and choose Uninstall. Some apps can’t be removed or uninstalled.
If the app isn’t installed yet, start with the VIDAA App Store guide.
If neither way works
If there’s no Sort option and holding OK doesn’t let you move the app, your TV probably uses another VIDAA layout. Look up app management in the built-in guide for your model or ask your TV maker’s support; these steps follow Hisense’s 2021 VIDAA manual and 2025 U9 e-manual. The new order applies to this TV only.

The manual's front matter lists no models, date or VIDAA version: model names come from the hosted file names, and VIDAA U9 NA/SA and 2025 from the PDF metadata title and creation date (May 2025; uploaded to hisense.cl in November 2025).
